MistyNat Week is a week-long event meant to inspire fans of the pairing to create fanworks centered on the dynamic between Misty Quigley and Natalie Scatorccio from Yellowjackets. Participation is open to everyone, and prompts are given for seven days straight to help spark creativity and encourage a flood of fan creations! The current event will take place from October 1st - 7th, 2023, and the theme is "Tropes & Cliches".

MistyNat Week is an event for fans of the pairing to create and share fanworks centered on Misty/Nat over the course of seven straight days. In the middle of September, our event theme and prompts will have been revealed, and those who wish to participate in the event can make fanworks inspired by the given prompts.Starting on October 1st, participants will post their fanworks for that day's given prompt for all to enjoy!
how to participate
MistyNat Week is an open event, meaning that you do not need to sign up or declare your participation in any specific way. Rather, all you need to do to participate is follow the event on twitter, tumblr, and/or discord, and take part in the aspects of the event that appeal to you!Preparation for the event involves voting on when the week should be held, submitting suggestions for and voting on the theme, and submitting suggestions for and voting on the seven daily prompts. (Please see the calendar below to see where we currently are in this process.) Anyone who is interested in the event is encouraged to make suggestions on the theme and prompts, and vote in our various polls.In addition to participating by making suggestions and voting in our polls, you can also help us out by reblogging and retweeting information about the event, and helping build interest and excitement! We will also put out calls for help, for those who may want to offer their services as betas, cheerleaders, etc.Of course, the main way to participate in MistyNat Week is to create fanworks to be shared during the event, and enjoy fanworks made by others by reblogging, retweeting, and commenting on those creations.

when is the event?
MistyNat Week will begin on Sunday, October 1st, and will run through Saturday, October 7th.
WHAT COUNTS AS A FANWORK?
Anything and everything, as long as you make it! We look forward to seeing fanfiction, fanart, graphics, gifs, vids, fanmixes, meta, wallpapers, icons, etc. If it’s about Misty and Nat, and you made it, we wanna see it!
MISTYNAT WEEK HAS A THEME. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Rather than choosing seven completely unrelated prompts, the event has an overarching theme that ties those prompts together. Essentially, this just means that there is an umbrella topic guiding the things we create for the Week.The use of theme helps to make this more of an event, and will allow for variety if we continue to run these weeks!The theme for this MistyNat Week is "Tropes & Clichés"!
HOW ARE THE THEME AND PROMPTS CHOSEN?
While theme suggestions are open, anyone who is interested can submit their ideas to a MistyNat Week moderator via the specific instructions on our tumblr or discord, or via DM on Twitter.The mods will collate all of those suggestions, and then post a poll for participants to vote on which of the suggested themes they would most like to see. (In the case of a very tight race, a run-off lightning round of voting with the top choices will occur.)After the theme is chosen it will be revealed, and then a similar process will occur for prompt suggestion and voting.
IF I SUBMIT THEME AND/OR PROMPT SUGGESTIONS, CAN I VOTE?
Yep, you sure can!
DO I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING FOR ALL SEVEN DAYS?
Nope! You can pick and choose for which ones you’re inspired by, or you can do all seven. Whatever floats your boat and fits your schedule!
THE EVENT HAS ALREADY STARTED BUT I JUST GOT HERE! CAN I JOIN?
Nah, jump right in! Participation is open, meaning that you don’t need to register, or declare your intentions to join in on the fun. Feel free to play along as soon as you can!
HOW CLOSELY DO I HAVE TO STICK TO THE PROMPTS?
Not all that closely, and no creation will be rejected for not fitting a prompt “enough”. After all, the goal of this even is to spark inspiration and increase fanworks for the pairing! As long as you were inspired by the prompt, it will count.
I MADE SOMETHING BEFORE THAT FITS A PROMPT. CAN I POST THAT?
No, sorry. Anything you want promoted on our socials must be created specifically for this event. (However, if you were to add on to, or remix a previously posted fanwork to create something new-ish, that would be acceptable!)While you do need to create something new for the event, if you are taking part in multiple events/challenges and you can make one fanwork fit prompts for both/all of the events, feel free to do so.
CAN I CREATE SOMETHING THAT FULFILLS MULTIPLE PROMPTS?
Absolutely! If you are inspired to make something that fits multiple days, go for it! Please just clearly note which prompts your creation is fulfilling, to ensure it gets included in multiple places on the masterlists on tumblr and discord at the end of the week.
CAN I MAKE MORE THAN ONE CREATION FOR EACH PROMPT?
Yes, please! Create until your inspiration runs dry!
